Necklace length guide
Every product page lists the length of the chain. This guide shows where each length sits, so you can choose one that suits your neckline.

Where each length sits
| Length | Where it sits | Wear it with |
|---|---|---|
| 35 cm | Close around the base of the neck | Open collars, strapless and off-the-shoulder tops |
| 40 cm | On the collarbone | Crew necks and open necklines; a good first layer |
| 45 cm | Just below the collarbone | Most necklines; the length most pendants come on |
| 50 cm | A few centimetres above a neckline | Shirts and higher necklines; a second or third layer |
| 55 cm | Mid-chest | Polo necks and knitwear |
| 60 cm | Just above the bust | High necklines and dresses; long layered looks |
How to measure
Use a chain you own
Lay a necklace you like flat, clasp open, and measure it end to end in centimetres.
Or use string
Hang a piece of string around your neck to where you want the necklace to sit, then measure the string.
Allow for a pendant
A pendant adds drop below the chain, so it sits a little lower than the chain length suggests.
Layering lengths
Space layered necklaces about 5 cm apart so they sit separately: 40, 45 and 50 cm is an easy three-chain stack. Mix a fine chain, a textured chain and a pendant for contrast, and keep the heaviest piece at the bottom.
Extender chains. Where a necklace has an extender, the product page gives the shortest and longest length, so you can wear it at more than one point.
