How do I layer necklaces?
Choose two or three chains in different lengths, leaving about 5 cm between each so they sit apart. Start with a short chain at the collarbone, add a mid-length pendant, then finish with a longer chain or lariat. Mixing a fine chain with a textured one keeps the look balanced. Our layered necklaces come already styled.
How do I untangle a necklace chain?
Lay the chain flat on a soft surface and loosen the knot with two pins or needles, working the links apart slowly rather than pulling. A drop of baby oil helps on a tight knot; wipe the chain clean afterwards. To prevent tangles, fasten the clasp and store each necklace separately in its pouch.
How do I clean a gold necklace?
Wipe the chain and pendant with a soft, dry cloth after wearing. If it needs more, dip a cloth in lukewarm water with a little mild soap, wipe gently, rinse and dry fully before storing. Avoid jewellery dips and abrasive polishing cloths, and put your necklace on after perfume and body lotion.
Is this necklace real gold?
Our necklaces are 18k gold PVD on 316L stainless steel, not solid gold. A fine layer of 18k gold is bonded to a stainless steel base using physical vapour deposition, which gives a warm gold colour at a fraction of the price of solid gold. We describe every piece this way so you know exactly what you are buying.
Which necklace suits which neckline?
Short chains and chokers suit open, scoop and strapless necklines. A V-neck pairs well with a pendant or lariat that follows the line of the neck. With crew necks and high collars, wear a longer chain over the fabric. If in doubt, a fine layered necklace works with most tops and dresses.
