What is an anklet?
An anklet is a fine chain or bracelet worn around the ankle. It is a summer favourite with sandals, dresses and swimwear, and can be worn every day. Our anklets come in chain, charm and pearl styles, all in 18k gold PVD on 316L stainless steel.
Which ankle should I wear an anklet on?
Either ankle. Most people choose the side that shows best with their shoes, or wear one on each ankle for a matching look. Some cultures attach meanings to a particular side, but today an anklet is mainly a style choice. Wear it on its own or layer two lengths together.
What does wearing an anklet mean?
For most people an anklet is simply jewellery: a light, summery finish to an outfit. Anklets have a long history across many cultures, with meanings that range from protection to celebration, but there is no single rule today. Choose a style you like and wear it the way that suits you.
What length anklet should I choose?
Measure around your ankle just above the bone, then add 1 to 2 cm so the chain sits loosely and moves. Many anklets have an extender chain so you can adjust the fit. Our bracelet and anklet size guide explains how to measure and how each style should sit.
Can I wear my anklet to the beach?
Take your anklet off before swimming in the sea or a pool, and rinse off sand and sunscreen if it has been worn on the beach. Dry it fully and store it separately. Simple care like this keeps the 18k gold PVD finish looking its best through summer.
